Friend-of the-geese Bruce Graham ran fifth in 16.29. Not bad for a 46 year old! I achieved all stated targets, with splits for the two laps of 10.04 and 10:22. It was 33.3 degrees at 6pm, with an unwelcome hot northerly wind to struggle against. After the race was over, a much cooler easterly blew in.

Thursday track program. I will warm up for the 1500m but may wait and run the 3000m (or even the spiral if I feel like a win!). Otherwise I will be there to cheer everyone on. BTW the program has changed at the last minute again, with a 100m race added.

6.00 1000/3000m walk
6.10 100m (new)
6.30 1500m
7.00 60m
7.20 3000m (GM)
7.40 400m (B)
8.00 4x100m Relay
8.10 6 Lap Spiral (A)

Lucky Tesso, went to a police concert.
De do do do, de da da da
Is all I want to say to you
De do do do, de da da da
Their innocence will pull me through
De do do do, de da da da
Is all I want to say to you
De do do do, de da da da
They're meaningless and all that's true

Sting, of course, was a champion 200m runner in his youth.

Cool cat

  1. He also ran 10:24 for 3000m - not bad!

Now... should I submit my time for the Half-Fast 'Shave Your 5k Challenge'?

  2. No way Ewen. Your 20:54 on 4 December lies within the qualifying period, you cannot submit your slowest 5k time, it must be your fastest! I will keep you honest.
