Our Lauren Boden made the semis of the women's 400m hurdles at the World Athletic Championships. There are 24 in the three semi-finals; she was 12th fastest in the heats. You might like to tune into SBS-2 tonight at 7:00pm and cheer Lauren on.
Last night at Parliament House the speedygeese commenced a month of hill sprint sessions. First of all Craig, Ewen, Jen, Nadine & I ran 8k easy, then the main group of Andrew, Andy, Bronwyn, Caroline, Colin, Craig, David, me, Helen, Larissa, Nadine, Neil, Ruth & Warrick did 12 x 100m on a steepish hill, followed by 8 x 85m on an easier hill. Next week we plan to do something similar.

The Paper Kites are an emerging band from Melbourne, Victoria. Their awesome sound is very similar to that of the brilliant The Middle East from Townsville, Queensland. I wish them every success in the future.
