Antarctic Marathon
Bill Arthur is about to head off for a marathon in Antarctica, which will be continent #6 for him, only South America to go after this. He is raising money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. Website www.everydayhero.com.au/william_arthur_3. All funds paid into this site go directly to the PCFA and receipts will be issued.

He leaves for the Antarctic marathon on Feb 28th. and will be back home on the 16th March. The link to the marathon web site is www.marathontours.com/index.cfm?pid=10734

Contributions most welcome!

Bill trained with us when we were at Dickson, and plans to return when we resume there in April this year.

  1. Nice to chat briefly at the ferry terminal this am. Not nice to hear you ran sore :( I hope you stopped early and recover fast. Good on Ruth, Cathy & Ewen on their Parkruns. I have not yet become a Parkrunner......

    1. Thanks Liz. Got to 6k and a hammy felt tight so I cut my losses and turned back. Stopped half way back to chat and when I restarted the ITB and hip flexor and quad all of the same leg as the hammy spat the dummy. Walked/jogged from there. I reckon I overdid it this week, taking painkillers (C2H5OH) tonight and except to be all AOK in the morning.
